Nice my first post. So this blog will mainly deal with me telling you lucky folks all about what I'm doing or planning on doing or did in Germany this coming year. Instead of heading off to college like a normal 18 year old senior would be doing I'm heading to Germany to work.

Besides this blog if I can get a web cam I'll be leaving live blogs about what's happening on YouTube. I have an account made and if I happen I'll leave a URL for you guys to check that out. I'll try to keep in touch as much as possible while I'm over there.

The reason of me going to Germany for a year instead of college is because I choose to take a chance and try for this scholarship that only 25 people in the United States are allowed to go between the ages of 18-19 year old. It's a great opportunity to learn about Germany and it's culture, history, economics, etc. I'll be leaving June 30th and flying out from Washington D.C. From there I'll head to Germany where I'll have intense 7 weeks of learning German, and staying with a host family. Once that is done I'll be put into another host family and start working right away. So in other words I don't get a fun relaxing summer like most of my friends will before they head off.
